Description

Waste tires are discarded rubber tires that have reached the end of their useful life in vehicles. With millions of tires being replaced annually worldwide, they pose a significant environmental and public health challenge if not managed properly. A single passenger tire can weigh around 10–20 kg, and with over 1 billion tires generated globally each year, the accumulation of waste tires has become a major concern.

Improper disposal—such as illegal dumping or open burning—leads to serious problems including fire hazards, breeding grounds for disease-carrying pests (like mosquitoes), soil and water contamination from leaching chemicals, and greenhouse gas emissions. However, waste tires also represent a valuable resource due to their durable and energy-rich composition, making them suitable for recycling and reuse in various industries.

Uses of Waste Tires: Waste tires are increasingly being transformed into useful products through recycling and reprocessing technologies. Key uses include:

1. Rubber Recycling (Tire-Derived Rubber - TDR): Crumb Rubber: Shredded and ground into fine particles used in asphalt paving, playground surfaces, sports fields (e.g., synthetic turf), and rubberized concrete; Reinforced Materials: Used as additives in new rubber products like new tires, conveyor belts, and flooring.

2. Energy Recovery (Cradle-to-Cradle Energy Use): Tire-derived Fuel (TDF): Waste tires are burned in controlled environments (e.g., cement kilns, power plants) as a high-calorific-value fuel source. This reduces reliance on fossil fuels and helps manage waste; Pyrolysis: A thermal decomposition process that breaks down tires into oil, gas, and carbon black—each of which can be reused in industrial applications.

3. Construction and Infrastructure: Road Construction: Used in asphalt mixtures to improve flexibility, reduce road noise, and extend pavement life; Erosion Control and Drainage Systems: Tires are used as fillers in retaining walls, breakwaters, and drainage systems due to their strength and durability; Landfill Liners: In some cases, tires are used as lightweight fill material in landfills.

4. Manufacturing of New Products: Rubber Mats and Flooring: Used in gyms, playgrounds, and industrial facilities for shock absorption and safety; Automotive Components: Reused in parts such as bumpers, seals, and gaskets; Furniture and Art: Creative repurposing into garden planters, benches, and sculptures.

5. Agricultural Applications: Used as mulch in vineyards or orchards to retain moisture and suppress weeds; As supports in hydroponic farming systems.

6. Environmental Remediation: Tire chips and crumb rubber are used in filtration systems to absorb pollutants from stormwater runoff.

While waste tires were once considered an environmental liability, modern technology and sustainable practices have turned them into valuable raw materials. Proper management through recycling, reuse, and energy recovery not only mitigates environmental harm but also contributes to circular economy goals. Governments, industries, and consumers all play vital roles in ensuring that waste tires are responsibly handled and transformed into beneficial products.

FAQ

> What is Old Tyre Baler Machine?

The baler is mainly used to compress old tyre, waste tires, waste rubbers, truck tires etc into small bales with high density, easy to transport and stock, save transport cost, storage cost, convenient to distribute to end users, make more profits by using baler.

> Does waste tire baler need any foundation installation?

For small baler, just put it on the horizontal cement ground, that is OK, and for heavy duty baler, then need a foundation, we will send you a foundation drawing before you install the baler.

> What kind of materials can be compressed by Used tires baling machine

The baler can press various of waste rubber such as old tires, truck tyres, rubber etc; you can send some photos and videos of material which do you want to compress, then will check with our general engineer, and will suggest you suitable baler accordingly.

> What is package of waste tire Baler?

Generally speaking, there are two packages of the machine, wooden package, and plastic films, wooden package is mainly for small machine with LCL shipment, and plastic films mainly for big machine with FCL shipment before loading into the container, and we can meet your special package requirement if you have any.

> How to operate old tire recycling baler?

This baler is very simple, we set all parameters well before delivery, just operate per user manual is OK, you can contact with us if you have any questions any time, we can guide you how to operate the baler.

> How much pressing force of waste tyre baling press?

The pressing force of the baler is different depends on which model will you need, if you have small capacity, and small bale size and bale weight, then small baler is OK for you, and the pressing force is small accordingly, such as 100tons tons.
