The Dershan Vertical Metal Scrap Briquetting Machine is a hydraulic briquetting device developed for the metal processing, casting, recycling, and automotive parts manufacturing industries. Utilizing powerful hydraulic compression technology, the machine can compress loose cast iron, steel, aluminum, copper, and other metal cutting waste into high-density cylindrical metal blocks with a diameter of 60–240 mm and a weight of approximately 1.2–25 kg.

Equipment Structure and Workflow

Metal shavings enter the compression chamber manually, via conveyor, or through an automatic feeding system. After the equipment starts, the hydraulic system drives the pressing mechanism to compress the metal shavings under high pressure. After reaching the set pressure and holding conditions, the formed briquettes are continuously discharged from the outlet.

The standard workflow is as follows: Collect and convey metal shavings. Crush or pre-treat according to material conditions. Feed the material into the briquetting machine hopper. Automatically complete feeding, compression, holding, and briquetting. Collect briquettes and liquid discharged during the pressing process. The equipment transports finished metal blocks to warehouses, recycling plants, or smelting workshops.

The equipment supports both manual and automatic operation. Manual mode facilitates installation, commissioning, equipment maintenance, and single-step operation; automatic mode is suitable for continuous production, reducing manual intervention and improving processing efficiency.


Cooling and Hydraulic System

The equipment is equipped with an industrial chiller to control the hydraulic oil temperature, ensuring stable operation under continuous production conditions. The hydraulic system uses a pressure configuration of 1250–6300 kN, matched with a pump displacement of 63–320 ml/r depending on the specific model.

A reasonable hydraulic and cooling configuration reduces the risk of system overheating, improves the stability of continuous operation, and extends the service life of hydraulic components and seals. Customers can select the appropriate cooling specifications based on ambient temperature, daily working hours, and raw material processing volume.
